SMS Verbal Consent Script

Purpose

 

This script is used by Pro Action Martial Arts (Team PAMA) representatives when asking customers for SMS consent during phone calls or in-person conversations.

Representative Script

“Thank you for being a valued customer and member of Pro Action Martial Arts.  For faster service, school announcements, payment reminders, and event updates, we can communicate with you via text message by sending messages to this phone number. Is that okay with you? By providing your mobile number, you agree to receive automated SMS messages from Pro Action Martial Arts regarding school announcements, event updates, payment reminders, billing notices, and account‑related communications.  Please be aware that message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. You can also reply HELP for assistance if you require it. Please note that your consent is not a condition of purchase.”

Process

  1. Representatives must read the script verbatim before enrolling a customer in SMS communications.​

  2. Customer must provide a clear affirmative response (e.g., “Yes” or “That’s fine”).

  3. Representative records the consent in our CRM (My Studio) system with the phone number marked as “SMS consent given.”​

  4. The system then triggers the universal confirmation message: ​“Pro Action Martial Arts: You have opted in to receive text updates. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. Your consent is not a condition of purchase."

Notes

  1. No customer will receive SMS messages without one of the verified opt-in methods (website checkbox, verbal consent, or customer-initiated inbound text).

  2. Consent records are retained in our CRM for compliance and verification purposes.
